well aren’t these just the happiest socks ever! designed in sweden and made in a family run biz in turkey (they’ve been making socks for over 30 years).

love the photo of the crisp & simultaneously messy white shirt. i always wear a shirt like that when i’m hanging my laundry on the line. oh wait. i can’t hang laundry on my line because i decided it would be a good idea to paint our old clothesline. and to paint it i had to take down the cord, and for the past year or so i’ve been meaning to replace it. (sigh)

well, at least these socks should cheer me up!

thanks to adea (aka billy would) for dropping off some lovely new earrings & necklaces this week. i’m loving these new earrings with silver chain. they’re so purdy! AND getting all the new goodies gave me an excuse to go out on a little photo shoot in the cove.

i’m a bath product junkie. i could open an apothecary in my bathroom with all the products i have. but my bathroom is tiny and it’s hard to fit more than one person in there at a time. who knows, maybe i’ll open a “real” apothecary some day. if i did, i’d like to carry the space nk house line called Life NK. i bought this muscle relief bath soak in london despite the fact that i feared it would send my luggage over 20kg (thankfully, it didn’t).

i snapped this shot of three oh-so-stylish teenagers in the tube in london. all wearing black leggings. and all wearing gladiators. but they were like, different colours.

well, it’s official. i’ve been a slacker in the blog updating department lately. i didn’t even get to tell you guys about how i got to meet orla kiely at her offices in london! i was soooo star-struck. she’s as fabulous as i imagined her to be and all the gals in the office were super sweet.

you guys know i’m a HUGE orla fan (not in a “call the police megan is bothering me again” sort of way), more like i just love pretty much every single thing she designs.

anyhoo, imagine my excitement when the first batch of Fall* bags arrived on friday! here’s a sneak peak of the new print…we’ll have them online real soon.

and speaking of next week, rich and the boys and i are heading to tofino for a few days. i. can’t. wait. LOVE LOVE LOVE TOFINO.

*i requested an early ship date for these bags. don’t let the “f” word scare you. it’s not Fall. it’s summer. and hopefully summer sticks around for a good long while.

one of the yummiest cakes i’ve ever had from ottolenghi in london. flourless cake with polenta, pistachios and lemon. put ottolenghi on your list of “must eats” in london. AH-Mazing.

i’m feeling much better after a couple good sleeps and good thing because my mom is in town for a visit. and today is her birthday! we started the day with a private shopping spree at Room6 & now we’re heading to stanley park for a walk with the boys. and then coming home to make macarons! before heading out to eat dinner. yesterday we had lunch at vij’s rangoli on the way back from the airport & it was delicious.

since i’m not sure when i’ll get a chance to recap my whirlwind visit to ireland & england, i figured i highlight some of my favorite things whenever i get a chance. this lunch was really memorable for me, eaten on the stoop of a fancy schmancy home in london.
