our holiday orders are rolling in and i’m overwhelmed by boxes! as I mentioned in our last newsletter, we have one very (VERY) BIG surprise and the box is HUGE!! i’m heading in to the shop this morning to break down more cardboard & to try and find homes for some of our new special things…it’s supposed to be a sunny saturday in the cove!

knit night was a success!

we kicked off the knitting season at the Seymour Art Gallery last night. thanks to everyone for coming & to the gallery (Nell and Jacquie in particular) for letting us use the beautiful space!
the only problem is, instead of finishing any projects, i ended up starting 3 new ones. our next knit night is less than 3 weeks away and we all have some homework to do! cynthia, that blanket better be done!
a big thanks to stephanie who helped us fix our (many) mistakes! hope you can all make it thursday, november 1! we are all loving the sulka by mirasol–lots of wrist warmers being knit as we speak.

our window is filled with monsters on little hay bails (“hay” get it?)…meet colin, andy, sebastian and todd from monster factory in toronto.
i was concerned that the ugly dolls might be jealous, or even worse, that the ugly dolls and the monster factory would get in a fight and destroy the store. but so far, they’ve been getting along really well. even though peaco is pretty freaked out by andy’s hair.
