did you know we’ve started to sell little potted succulents and cacti in one-of-a-kind vintage containers? they’re pretty darn sweet and easy to care for too. our first batch sold out quickly, but i will be making more friday–fresh picks on saturday! what a cute gift for your sweetie for valentine’s day! starting at just 6 bucks :)
i found myself at university village on my way out of seattle yesterday (i was on a mission to find a certain mac eyeshadow which is sold out in canada and they happened to have at the mac store at u village)–anyhoo…i saw these pretty pink vases which beckoned me inside. one product, every colour imaginable. i wanted them all.
it’s a ridiculously gorgeous day in deep cove. i’ve been for a hike with the boys and am going to take a quick shower and head down to the shop. it’s back to work!
felt like a spring day in seattle today. walked for hours & hours. ate jai thai in fremont (yum!). heading back to vancouver tomorrow. i hear there are cherry blossoms there too. it is january, right?
please come back! the winter olympics are coming and i’d like some snow. the torch is coming down our street (right in front of the shop) on february 10th. a winter wonderland would be lovely. thank you.
i want to redo our bedroom. and by redo, i actually mean “do” because since we’ve lived here (almost 6 years) we’ve never really done anything to it (aside from a few coats of white paint and some ikea flooring). anyhoo…i’ll add that to my growing wish list of house projects. i love the feel of this room (esp. the pink cabinet!) from the flea market style book found on poppytalk today.

it’s another rainy day here in deep cove (sigh) and if i didn’t have a million and one things to do today, i would most certainly spend the afternoon making these lovely button cookies .
Room6 will be closed today while argie and i re-work the space. however, if you have a gift emergency we will be at the shop so if you knock loudly and smile sweetly we’ll let you in :) pics of the new look will be unveiled soon!
i was focused and ready to go at the grocery check out this evening, but the guy in front of me required a “price check” and that meant i had a few minutes to kill…and the covers of the martha stewart living always look so darn pretty. and the promise to: eat better, live better, feel good was fairly compelling. and then, there were the hellebores. before i knew it the latest issue of living ended up in my envirosax (after i paid for it, of course). i’ll try and remember to bring it to the shop tomorrow if you want to stop by and drool over the hellebore feature.
