i love pattern. i love colour. i love simple. needless to say, i fell pretty hard for these beaded cuffs.

i couldn’t decide on one because i loved them all, so rich picked out this one for me (helsinki) and i haven’t taken it off since i put it on before my trip to new england.

i’m in new england to celebrate my mom’s retirement (congrats mom xox!). the party set-up was yesterday and today’s the big event. sending sunshine your way!

we just received a shipment of brand new blankets from avoca and they’re gorgeous!

perfect timing since it’s been pretty cold & rainy in these parts.

grab yourself some tea and a good book and wrap yourself up in some colour.

or, if you’re in a warm/sunny climate (lucky!), pack yourself a picnic.

when i was at the maison& objet show in paris i visited the rice booth and saw this cake. well, i’m not sure if it was this exact cake, but they had a cake with green coconut frosting and little gnome & mushroom candles. how cute are they?! the little candles ($8/set) have made their way to the cove along with other rice (denmark) goodies. pic from rice dk

yesterday was just an ordinary day in deep cove.

the mayor came into the shop. wearing a ninja umbrella.

even though it wasn’t raining.

which caused me to spit out the water in my mouth onto my keyboard.

causing the “S” key to stop working.

so anyone who received emails last night were missing the letter S.

i’ve switched the keyboards so when miss A comes back from her little road trip she will be a he.

if i sound a little punchy it’s probably due to the stress of launching a new website.

oh yes, that little thing. we’re working on it.

a quick bon voyage to the old room6.com…i’m not sure where old websites go but i hope it will be happy there.

more tweaking and testing today & tomorrow on the new website.

we aim to take down our existing site around 5:00PM tomorrow.

it’s served me well for years and i’m sorta sad to say goodbye.

leave it to me to anthropomorphize* pixels.

but, it was time for something new.

guess what?!

we made a little Room6 movie which we’ll unveil on our new site.

i wanted to give a shout out to kyle bowman (he made the movie) and andy shauf (we used one of his songs in our little film.)

these kids are ooozing with talent.

if you’re a record producer, sign andy.

if you’re in the movie biz, hire kyle.

i’m so lucky our paths crossed.
