holiday mugs

these lovely bone china mugs are back for the holidays!  tree heart here, prancing reindeer here. so sweet! $16 each

terrariums

i made these little terrariums which are anxiously awaiting their little friends (tiny vintage deer that i ordered from etsy.) anyhoo…they’re super easy and make great little gifts. i got the glass bowls at michaels in the candle section for $6.99 each, the succulents  were $3.99 each at dykof and the moss is from my backyard (free. if you want some, let me know, we are thick with moss at our house). i already had stones for drainage and soil specifically for succulents, so if you don’t have those, you could pick those up at your local nursery too. quick & sweet.

biko

it’s been a few years since we’ve had biko in the shop and i was really excited to open up a box of goodies from corrine (aka biko) yesterday. her collection speaks to the side of me that loves pretty little (dare i say, girly!?) things and opening the box reminded me of rummaging through my grandma’s jewelry box.

corrine describes her collection ‘modern nostalgic’ and each piece is hand-crated in toronto. i’m especially drawn to the lockets which, filled with a special photo, make a lovely one-of-a-kind gift.
