we received lovely spring coats from soia & kyo (the beauty style is shown) as well as spring jackets from lifetime collective. beauty is coming with me to paris, i love the hood and it has a removable sweatshirt to keep you cosy on chilly days by the seine, or the cove. i’d hoped to update the clothing section with our new arrivals and i actually got pretty close, but technology is letting me down this morning and i have to get going to the airport soon. i’m not sure how much i’ll be popping in over the next week, but it’ll be business as usual in deep cove. thanks to fiona, nancy and maegan for holding down the fort. au revoir!

i got up early on saturday morning to sneak into the city to check out a photo/video event at the vancouver convention centre before heading to the shop. saturday was a lovely day in the cove (hello sunshine) and today we had some blue skies and some snow. good news for the skiers and snowboarders out there, our local mountains have been getting hammered.

i’m leaving for paris on tuesday! yikes! so much to do still. hope everyone’s having a nice weekend. xox

i was late to the downton party, but now i’m all caught up and eagerly awaiting season 3 which apparently doesn’t start until fall. we have to wait until fall?! sigh…have you guys been watching this tv series? while rich was out of town* i started watching it through apple TV and obsessively watched 2 episodes a night until the final season 2 episode. love the costumes, the scenery, the colours, the accents, the drama, the acting…did i mention the costumes?

*rich and period pieces don’t mix.

i’m loving the new leather annie bags from ms. kiely spring collection and i’m aiming to have all our lovely new arrivals online this week. which gives me today and tomorrow so i best get busy! i’m considering this bag for myself, i love that you can wear it across the chest (good for long walks in paris, no?) and it has a florescent pink lining. sigh…

rich made these for the boys before he left for jackson hole. i just about died when i opened the door and they came running towards me wearing these hearts. hope you guys had a nice weekend!

i’m bursting with excitement about all our new arrivals, but i’m currently buried in year-end paperwork, fall (?!) ordering, photo editing and paris planning. i’m going to update this here blog and website properly very soon. in the meantime, something sweet!

i picked up these beautiful handcrafted chocolates and caramels from vancouver’s beta 5 this morning and dropped them off at the shop today. the smell in their workshop was heavenly and i sampled everything i could get my hands on. yum! it’s always so nice to meet the makers face to face. xox
