my sewing machine is still stitching up more canvas bunting for our window, then i must shower (just got back from a romp through the forest with boys and am covered in mud), hopefully paint my nails (fancy!) and head down to the shop to start setting up for our open house tonight. i’m sort of loving how our “merry covemouse” window is coming together. xox
kick off the holidays with us!
our 8th annual holiday open house is happening tomorrow night from 6ish until 9ish! we’ll be serving mulled things, apps from our friends across the street at arms reach, sweets from butter baked goods, 10% off all purchases, complimentary gift wrapping, and we even made some special party favors for you.
we’re also unveiling our 2012 window display as well as launching some brand new collections. hope you can make it!
for those of you who live far away or have some other lame excuse for not coming…just enter code COVEMOUSE (it’ll make sense once you see our window) and we’ll take 10% off all purchases on friday, november 30 only. xox
kinfolk
this week has been a blur. lots of new arrivals (including the holiday issue of kinfolk), a botched holiday window attempt, a strained knee and a sore bum from slipping on ice, packing tape in hair, a lot of time in the car, hand-lettering fail, lovely visits from nice people, dropping the ball, help from friends (thank you), old rope and twinkle lights obsessing…mice…a ship…my trusty sewing machine…
hope you can come to our open house on friday to see how it all comes together. hope i can come to my open house and see how it all comes together.
i’m going to pour a glass of wine, draw a bath, grab kinfolk and hopefully get a good night sleep. xox

kove westcoast knits
yesterday i picked up an order from kyla and i’m loving this season’s kove collection. gorgeous locally made cowls, eternity scarves and toques are now in store and will be online soon. this season’s collection is made entirely with 100% merino wool sourced from a small farm in the united states.
things have been extra crazy ’round here and i’ve fallen behind on the website updates (sorry), but if you see something on our blog, feel free to shoot me an email at megan (at) room6.com and i’m happy to help.
top: colour block cowl ($124), bottom: colour block warmer ($124)
die-cut & letterpressed
our holiday cards are now in store and will be online very soon. i know i say this every year, but this is our best holiday card collection yet. paper-lovers will appreciate the “boatloads of joy to you” cards from egg press in portland…the s.s. holiday spirit is die-cut & letterpressed. remind me to tell you about the boat ship i bought today.
vintage sewing kit
i love this vintage canning jar sewing kit from toronto-based pi’lo. $48
