two things i love…hearts and garland. i was really trying to wait until the first…but decided to start decorating the shop today. a big thanks to alex for cutting out hundreds of hearts (by hand). i found the most beautiful linen paper (it looks like rose petals) at paper-ya.

bulbs

i’d been growing some bulbs (paperwhites & hyacinth) on my kitchen windowsill in dirt until fiona forwarded me a link to the gardenista blog and i saw them in glass bottles. so pretty, right? here’s hoping they like their new homes. thanks f!

cypress

this blog has been a little quiet lately, but i’ve actually been a busy bee. since rich and i were both really sick over the holidays, we’ve been lucky to extend our winter vacation into january. i popped down to seattle for a couple of days with family and came back with my mom who is visiting from new hampshire. yesterday she hung out with the boys while rich and i went snowboarding on cypress for his birthday. it was stunning! we went way up above the clouds and were riding on open slopes with bright sunny skies. playing tourist in your own town is awesome…next up…stanley park!
